So much has been happening since releasing my track on Friday and I don’t know where to begin; it’s exciting times! Thank you all so much for everything you’re doing, because I really can’t do this without you. I’ll try to cover as much as I can over the next few days.
The first thing I wanted to show you was this article in the JC Newspaper, from the Friday 21 March 2014 edition.
Rapper In His Natural Habitat
Rappers do not usually spring from Golders Green with a business degree from Leeds.
But today marks the online release of the debut single of Dave In Charge, alias David Palmer, the JFS-educated grandson of veteran Liberal Democrat politician Lord Palmer of Childs Hill.
Dave’s blog, which describes him as a Conscious Rap artist, left me wondering: what would be an Unconscious Rap artist – until more switched-on younger colleagues informed me that “conscious” is an idiom for socially aware.
As you can guess, the single entitled Habitat, is about nature and not a paean to an interior design store.
A huge huge thank you to The JC!
There’s much more work to do. Let’s keep the momentum going – that means sharing the track with your friends, supporting it on online music stores and interacting with the news I post, on social media and this blog. You are all amazing – thank you!
